Intel has introduced its new Core i9 X series with high TeraFlop performance for the first time.
Core i9 X series is comprised of 9 SKU’s ranging from Kaby Lake-X based Core i7-76408 at the entry level to the SkyLake-X based i9-7980XE at the high end. The performance of the new X series is considered for the first time with TeraFlop performance and includes 18 cores.
This Intel new Core i9 X-Series is aimed at the gamer which will help them playing high-performance games, who want to live stream. It is also aimed at the high performance running application such as VR videos. 3D Modeling, 3D printing (Rapid Prototyping) and special effect creation. It is the first desktop CPU with the TeraFlop performance.
The 18 core CPU’s are not scheduled until later this year. But announced that it will be soon back to meet the user excitement. It is also unknown that if this later 2017. whether 12,14,16, and 18 cores CPU are available or not, but the core i9-7900X has already hit the market as the processor recently claimed two Cinebench world record for 10-Core Processor.
Before the release fo 18 Core i9 X series in the market, it gives AMD an opportunity for few months to throw its weight and dominate the CPU benchmark. The company has planned to launch Ryzen0 Threadripper Family this summer.
This processor is featured with a base clock of 3.5 GHz and a boost clock of 3.8 GHz with a TDP of 155 watts. It will also support DDR4-3200 Memory.
